Our church family

(I've been trying to get something about our church blogged for months. It's finally here, but some of the pictures are out-dated.)

We've been attending Tokyo Lutheran Church since a few weeks after our arrival. They have one English-speaking service at 10 a.m. Our service is quite small - usually only a dozen members. But, it's also cozy and has led us to some nice friendships. Here's some pictures of the members of our service. This first group of photos is from June 11.

On September 10 Hiroko-san planned an excursion for us to Inkashira Shizen Bunka Park, which was more like a small zoo than a park. Addison fell asleep on the way there.

Above are a couple of things we saw while she was sleeping. Addison woke up in time to see the very cute monkeys. They were small, which made them even cuter. Hiroko-san had to leave us after viewing the monkeys.

After seeing the monkeys we went to the guinea pig petting area. Addison didn't quite know what to do.

And lastly, Addison got to take a dip in the kiddy pool. She loved it! Matsuura-san, Ken, and Mitsutoshi-san were patient enough to sit and watch her play.
