Golden Week - part 1

We've just come off Golden Week, which is a week of vacation. Many companies, like Honda, observe the entire week. Others observe the national holidays of May 3rd through the 5th. The retail shops were still open. Which is very good because I'm still having to go to the supa every few days. I'm not making daily visits anymore thankfully.

Ian's vacation started Friday evening April 28. We went to Ikebukuro for dinner at a Thai noodle shop - Ooh! It was spicy! But very good. Saturday we traveled to Shinjuku (Shin-jew-coo) for some shopping. Sunday we went to Harajuku and Yoyogi (Yo-yo-gee) Park. Yes, we saw some of those famous Harajuku girls. They only come out on Sundays. We didn't take any pictures, but here's a couple from 2003 when Ian was here.

Yoyogi Park is very nice and Addison enjoyed meeting people.

Here's some bongo players in the park.

We also saw the Tokyo Rockabilly Club. They're sometimes called the Dancing Elvis'. They were dancing to 50's music and several of them had their hair styled for that era.
