March happenings

March was in like a lamb, then turned to a lion, and finally went out as a lamb. The month was full of small events. Size definitely doesn't matter for that because we had a great time all month long.

On the 2nd, Sarah invited us for a play date. Addison was so excited to see Mia. They are a great match. Addy loves playing with older kids and Mia loves playing with younger kids.

The following day was nice enough to get me thinking about sandals. A self-pedicure was definitely on order. Addison was fascinated by the paint, so I offered to paint her itty-bitty toes too. To my surprise, she accepted, and didn't touch the wet paint.

Kawaii!!!!!

Our next adventures were during the "lion" portion of the month. First, it was a trek to the Tokyo Tower on St. Patrick's Day. If you missed those photos, click here. The next day, Sunday the 18th, we went to a St. Patrick's Day parade in Omote-Sando. It was very well attended. The parade lasted about 40 minutes. The big surprise of the afternoon came when I turned to my left and found my friend Yoko standing next to me! Her daughter, Hinano, is in Polar Bear as well. In a city of 12.3 million (yes, you read right! 12.3 million people) you don't expect to see a friend on the street, let alone right next to you at a St. Patrick's Day parade!

The weather started to warm after that and by the 21st when we had a play date, it was nice enough to be outside. I invited Kaori, a mom from Polar Bear Club, to bring her children, Lukas, 4 years old, and Mae, almost 2 years. All three kids had a good time.

Addy was telling "secrets" to Mae. They both found the secrets to be hilarious!
