July jumble 2

July rolled on cloudy and rainy. Addison and I had a play date with the Sussman's, friends from Polar Bear Club, on the 12th. Lukas and Mae are adventurous kids and they like to play in a "band" with their mom, Kaori.

Here's Addison on July 13 (Happy birthday Aunt Cathy!), a relatively dry day. She took me by surprise how quickly she started scaling this jungle gym at the park.

On Saturday the 14th, more rain poured down from the typhoon that has settled over the country. We drove to a nearby mall to kill some time and have a flame-broiled lunch. Burger King just opened two stores in the Tokyo area in June and this was our first trip there. Too bad they don't serve onion rings here.

On Tuesday, the 17th, we had the Polar Bear Club come to our house for a potluck. It was supposed to include a pool party, but once again it was raining. The kids had fun anyway. Here we are singing the Good Morning song before having lunch.
