New Year's Day

Happy 28th Birthday Jason! We wish you had been here to celebrate. We didn't eat any cake, but we had Pizza Oven pizza, chicken, and jo-jo's. I know you would've enjoyed that. Mostly, we spent New Year's Day enjoying the company of family. Addison got to see my mom's family for the first time since arriving in Ohio and was showered with Christmas presents. Of course, the toys were all secondary to her playing with Chelsea. Addison really looks up to her and wants to play whenever they meet.

"Look at my pretty new necklace and Guido truck!"

Following our visit with mom's family, we moved to Harriet's house to catch up with Eileen's family. Again, Addison was overly showered with gifts. Andy Jo happily helped Addison open her gifts. They played together the rest of the evening too.

Playing cards, of course!

This picture isn't from New Year's Day. But, it was too funny not to share. It's from the 3rd, the day of Virginia Tech's bowl game. Addison is decked out in her "Hokie Pokey" gear. She talking on the phone to Eileen, who was at work.

We left Ohio on the 4th and returned to Tokyo.
