Dad and Eileen's visit - part 3

Sunday the 5th Eileen stayed at home to rest up for Disneyland. We took dad to church with us. I think he enjoyed meeting our congregation. After church we went to an Indian buffet, where dad had his first taste of curry. Dad says curry packs a lot of heat! Since we were so close to Harajuku we went there next to see the teenagers hanging out. Their outfits are quite wild!

That's a dude in the red dress being photographed with the tourists.

Sunday also brings out the Tokyo Rockabilly Club a.k.a. The Dancing Elvises. We watched these cats show off their moves.

Do you think he has enough grease to keep his hair in place?

"We cool!"

Monday we went to Ikebukuro to explore the seemingly-endless department stores at the station. There are four main department stores at Ikebukuro station. These department stores, departo as they are called here, aren't one or two floors like Sears or Kauffman's in the states. No, these departos are at least 7 floors with entire floors devoted to things like purses and shoes.

Something dad and Eileen found fascinating that I haven't blogged yet is our car storage. Our car is parked underground with a parking space above ours and one below. Sound complicated? Not really. Check out the photos.

Parking space above ours.
Here comes our car on its "elevator".

Our blue Honda Fit. I'm standing on the far right at the "elevator" controls.
