Happy Halloween!

Halloween for a one-year old and Halloween for a two-year old are two completely different events. Last year we didn't buy Addison a costume. We did go to two parties last year - one at the Skiles' house and one at Polar Bear Club (see slide show). But, I think Addison was just excited to be with all the kids at those events. This year Addison got to choose her costume. She was Alice the Mermaid. Yes, Alice. That's who she told us she was. We geared up for the Polar Bear party by coloring Halloween pictures, making spiders and bats from construction paper, and baking cupcakes. We took the cupcakes to church and shared them with our friends. Addy did a great job helping with the cupcakes. My little apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to baking!

The sweets of her labor!

We had such a good time at our Polar Bear Club party on Tuesday, October 30. All the kids were dressed up. A couple of the parents were too. After corralling everyone for some group pictures, we started as usual with a sing-a-long. Then one mom read Halloween stories and finally I lead the kids and parents in craft time. We had a yummy potluck lunch after all the festivities.

Addy and her friend Mae row their boat together.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

On the day of the Halloween party I got Addison's finished plate. It doesn't look very different from the unfired version in photos. Too bad, it really is cute. Here is Addison's first painting masterpiece.
